Lila: I'm getting a bad feeling about tonight. I think both of you should just stay home. To be safe.
Mother: I'm not going to argue with you about this. (To Husband) James, are you ready to go!
Father: Yes, Millie, let's get out there, we're running late.
Mother: (Kisses Lila Goodbye) We'll be home tomorrow afternoon. Take care of the house!
(Front Door Slams Shut)
Lila: Mom. I love you.

Teacher: Lila, can I talk to you for a second?

Teacher: Lila, I got a phone call from your Aunt Sally. She's at the hospital... with your parents.
Lila: My parents are on a business trip.
Teacher: I'm so sorry I have to tell you this... but your parents were in a car crash last night on the way to the airport. They were killed.

Lila: I don't believe you. You're lying!
Teacher: I'm so sorry. Your aunt is coming to pick you up soon.
